“The moment will arrive when you are comfortable with who you are, and what you are– bald or old or fat or poor, successful or struggling- when you don’t feel the need to apologize for anything or to deny anything. To be comfortable in your own skin is the beginning of strength.” Charles B. Handy
Welcome! I am so thrilled that you decide to visit my website. Here is a little something about me:
I am Ting. I am the mother of one college and one high school boy and a wife to my husband. It took me 40 years to feel completely comfortable in my own skin. While I have to say that the process is long, it is also definitely worthwhile. Even through I have gained more wrinkles and grays hairs during the process, I have ultimately never felt so confident and secure. I also am a firm believer that beauty has nothing to do with age. I am turning 48 this year and I would love to share with you how my eyes view the world.
I don’t know if it is possible to clearly define my style. It often changes with my mood. I like combining old and new pieces, accentuate my outfits with vibrant colors, experimenting with different fabrics, mix and matching high and low designers. I grew up in China and came to Chicago to finish my master degree in Hospitality Management in my late 20’s and have stayed here ever since.10 years ago, my whole family moved to Hong kong for three years as expats which was an incredibly memorable experience. I love to travel and all my voyages have played a key role in the evolution of my current style.
I hope you find some inspiration here. Friendly hellos, comments, opinions and inquiries are very welcomed here.
