“The moment will arrive when you are comfortable with who you are, and what you are– bald or old or fat or poor, successful or struggling- when you don’t feel the need to apologize for anything or to deny anything. To be comfortable in your own skin is the beginning of strength.” Charles B. Handy
Welcome! I am so thrilled that you are visiting my website. Here is a little something about me:
I am Ting. I am a mother of two high school boys and a wife to my husband. It took me 40 years to be completely comfortable in my own skin. And I have to say the long process is worthwhile. I gained more wrinkles and grays during the process yet I have never felt so confident and secure. I am a firm believer that beauty has nothing to do with age. I am turning 47 this year and I would love to share with you how I see the world through my eyes.
I don’t know what you would call my style. This changes often with my mood. I like combining old and new pieces, accentuate with vibrant colors, experiment with different fabrics, mix and match high and low designers. I grew up in China and came to Chicago to finish my master degree in Hospitality Management in my late 20’s and have stayed in Chicago since. 10 years ago, my whole family moved to Hongkong for three years as expats and that was a very memorable experience. We love to travel and all these life journeys have evolved into my current style.
I hope you can have some inspiration here. Friendly hellos, comments, opinions and inquiries are very welcomed here.
